Our next release sees Dutch native Mr Jones release the first of two EPs on Heavy Reel. Jones has been dropping some serious techno as of late and gaining support from techno's elite. A regular feature on Dave Clarke's "White Noise" radio show and blessed with a prodigious ability to churn out quality techno at a shocking rate, one would be forgiven for thinking he had a sweatshop of super talented techno kids locked in his basement.
This EP, titled "Don't Make Sense" features two originals and a remix from Justin Berkovi. Opening the EP is "Don't Make Sense, Make Music". A jacking techno track, lead along by a bending and mutating acid-tinged lead, backed up by tough 909-esqe percussion. Already charted by Dave Clarke and supported by plenty, she's a cracker and perfect for the discerning dancefloor.
Justin Berkovi takes on remix duties with an agitated, shuffly remix. Cutting through with a sharp stab lead and an abrasive bassline, Justin throws down and shows why he's one of techno's finest.
Rounding off the EP is "Belle Of The Brawl", a straight up jackin' techno track with tough as hell beats n' bass and a sick vocal hook. This is Jones at his most prolific.
The release artwork pays homage to cult hero/genius Daniel Johnston. We thought it fitting with a name "Don't Make Sense, Make Music". Mr Jones is far more handsome, and equally as talented.
Enjoy, you handsome bitches!
