About

Italian tech house DJ and producer Sekond Skin debuts his first full release for Black Sheep Trax. The "Without" EP offers three original tracks plus a remix from label favourites Different Language.

Track one "Without" fits in perfectly with our labels remit. This modern techno track is brimming with frenetic percussion, peak time vibes and incessant grooves.

Hull based promoters, DJs and producers Different Language, once again offer up their impeccable remix skills for their take on the title track. With a touch of restraint, the remix tones down the pace of the original. Subtle and disenfranchised horn stabs, meet with plodding rhythms and vibrant percussion to seduce and enchant.

Track three "Always" ups the tempo once more. Repetitive key patterns and rolling beats are interspersed with a clever use of stabs and sampled vox.

Track four "Dunno Da Funk" sees Sekond Skin doff his hat to Detroit techno past. An elasticated analogue bass line, high pitched synths, skipped out percussion and a huge dollop of machine funk close off this ep in perfect style.
